The LCTSA is Christ the King Catholic Voluntary Academy's Teaching School.  Christ the King is an outstanding primary school (Oftsed, November 2014), situated in Leicester City.  It operates over two sites - infant and junior - and is in the process of expanding from one and a half to three form entry, with 630 pupils on roll, making it one of the largest primary schools in Leicester.

Christ the King consistently performs well above national averages in statutory tests at both Year 2 and Year 6 and in 2019/20 was in the  top 3% of schools in the country.  It was rated outstanding in its most recent Diocesan Religious Education Inspection (2015) and has achieved a number of nationally recognised quality marks, including the Gold Primary Science Quality Mark, the Gold Space Education Quality Mark, the Eco Schools Green Flag Award, the Healthy Schools Award, the Bronze Food for Life Award and the Silver School Games Mark.
